Afrikaans princess of song Juanita is coming to Emperors Palace

Ska-Rumba singer, Juanita du Plessis is coming to the Palace of Dreams in September to grace her audience with her most popular tunes. The talented Afrikaans singer has made waves across the country with her beautiful voice and cheerful personality and is sure to draw a sold out crowd from 1 to 3 September when she performs at the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace.

This brilliant performer has more than 100 original compositions on 10 albums, two Gospel albums and four DVD’s. Du Plessis is one of the best-selling female artists in South Africa. In the past 10 years, she has travelled more than 1.3 million kilometers, her vehicle used more than 210 000 litres of petrol and there are only a handful of towns where she has not yet performed.

Her popularity grows day by day and she has been on all the biggest and most popular stages and festivals in the country. She has been featured on television shows, magazines and was on every single media publication or program in South Africa and Namibia. This dynamic singer hosted the television program Kyknet Country.

Blessed with a unique gift of engaging with her audience during her performance, the humble du Plessis is currently outselling all the international music releases and her DVD Bring Jou Hart has sold more copies than any other DVD title in the country.

Her recent musical achievements include a 2009 MTN SAMA Award for the Best DVD Seller when she collaborated with Theuns Jordaan for Bring jou Hart, a 2010 MTN SAMA for best Afrikaans pop album, and a 2010 Rapport Vonk Afrikaanse Musiektoekennings VAMT Award for Most Popular Artist, as voted by the public.
