The Grand Palm Resort Hotels give back ...
The Peermont Walmont hotel and Metcourt Inn at The Grand Palm Resort recently donated a selection of bathroom towels and linen to two very deserving charities in Botswana. The Happy Homes Botswana and SOS Children’s Village received a share of 500 sheets and 800 towels to the value of P58, 539 to use for their facilities in the care of orphans and abandoned children in and around Botswana.
The SOS Children's Village looks after 526 vulnerable orphans and abandoned children, aged from 6 months to 23 years from three villages in Botswana; whilst the Happy Homes Botswana facility provides a place to learn and experience the love and warmth of a parent, to children in and around the Naledi community. Both these facilities were greatly appreciative for the donation, where access to vital linens to provide for children in need becomes paramount.
"The Grand Palm resort is proud to be associated with these organisations and look forward to seeing future high achievers coming from them. We know how even a small donation of towels and linen can have a meaningful impact on these organisations," says Charne Christensen, Marketing Manager for The Grand Palm resort.
Other recent Grand Palm projects include Ghantsi Day Care Centre, Ledumang Primary School, Holly Cross Hospice, Lephoi Centre for the Blind (Francistown), Gabane Home Based Care and Tlamelong Rehabilitation Centre, as well as Catholic Vicariate OVC Project.
