Visit Emperors Palace this March and April for a healthy dose of live entertainment and special offerings, set to keep everyone in the family entertained.
This fast-moving, high paced energy stage spectacular, City Heat features a talented cast, beautiful costumes and great music. The show is a must-see and will be performed in the Odeon Showbar, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21h00 and Fridays and Saturdays at 21h30. Tickets are R65 per person and can be purchased at the door. The show ends on 12 March.
Nataniël will dazzle audiences with his latest stage production, Combat running until 26 March in the Theatre of Marcellus. Over the past decade the talented artist has not only established himself as producer, director, designer, playwright and public speaker, but is South Africa's leading exponent of the solo stage act. An outspoken and controversial figure, Nataniël continuously crosses over from the alternative circuit to the main stage, and this new show will be another event "not to be missed". The show is 70% English and 30% Afrikaans, and will be performed Wednesdays to Saturdays at 20h30 and Sundays at 15h00. Tickets start from R135 per person.
A 3-day Greek Film Festival will be hosted by Emperors Palace, in association with The Lyceum Club of Greek Women under the auspices of the Greek Embassy and assisted by the Federation of Hellenic Communities and Societies from 1 to 3 March at Nu Metro Emperors Palace. The festival will screen the incredibly popular drama "Nisos", the family comedy "O lias tou 16ou" and the romantic comedy "Molis Xorisa". Jared Mackenzie Entertainment presents The Dreemz - Boylesque, a drag cabaret act from 10 - 24 March in 64 @ The Palace at Emperors Palace. The ladies of The Dreemz will charm you with their wit, dazzle you with their glamorous outfits and thrill you with their unique interpretation of music. The popular Solid Gold concert, presented by Talk Radio 702, will take place on 20 March in the beautiful gardens at the 5-star D'oreale Grande hotel at Emperors Palace. Guests can enjoy their favourite tunes from the 60's, 70's and 80's performed live by the 702 Solid Gold band, with guest artist PJ Powers. The 702 Solid Gold band is headed by Bobby Lowe and Dick Mackridge, both accomplished artists and engaging performers. The show starts at 12h30 and tickets are R80 per person.
The famous Kool & The Gang will perform in the Centre Court at Emperors Palace for one show only on 20 March. Originally formed in New Jersey in 1964, the talented group has sold over 70 million albums worldwide and will thrill audiences with its eclectic jazz sounds. Tickets start from R350 per person.
Back by popular demand is the 17 year old musical project, David's Confession from 13 to 17 April in the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace. The show is the brainchild of respected songwriter/vocalist/guitarist Mel Botes, and features original drummer/vocalist Phillip Botha (Ghapi). Tickets start from R150 per person and should not be missed.
Emperors Palace proudly presents, for the first time in South Africa, a unique performance by the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe from 27 April to 1 May for 5 shows only in the Theatre of Marcellus. The show, aptly called My Dream, features a cast of talented performers all under the age of 18, who will dramatically illustrate the creative potential that lies at the heart of every person, regardless of challenges imposed through disability. The show will be performed from Wednesday to Saturday at 20h00, and Sunday at 19h00, and tickets are R95 per person.
