Emperors Palace is calling all flower-arranging aspirants
21 August 2012
Spring Rush at Emperors Palace is blooming with stunning family events and fun activity during September, and to celebrate the warmer days and turn of the season, the Palace of Dreams is inviting all gardeners, décor and design fans, and flower arranging enthusiasts to take part in an exciting competition on 11 September.
Spring is nature’s way of saying ‘let’s celebrate new beginnings!’ and what better way than to allow the creative juices to flow by arranging your favourite bouquet of flowers in the first week of spring. Specially catered for passionate gardeners who are not in the florist industry, the competition will provide a fun-filled afternoon for wannabes to put their fabulous and amazing skills to the test.
Popular celebrities and industry decision makers will attend the event to judge and critique the various entries. The winner will walk away with a magnificent holiday package to the value of R16 000 courtesy of Peermont Mondazur and Spa on Kwa-Zulu Natal’s South Coast. All the beautiful flower arrangements will then be donated by Emperors Palace to a local hospital for visitors and patients to enjoy.
For entries and further information, contact Nileen Gale on 011 928 1073 during office hours or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Entries will close on 7 September and entrants must bring their own flowers, greenery, ribbons, container, oasis and the necessary tools required. The competition will start at 11h00 in the Entertainment Emporium and entrants will have two hours to complete their master piece. Entry is free and participants can enjoy hot refreshments and an assortment of pastries at the prize giving after the competition.
